The Rolling Stones Fan Museum in Germany is catching crap from pissed feminists who have taken offense with the museum’s urinals.
Based on the iconic mouth of Mick Jagger, the tongue was removed, and apparently that makes all the difference. It seems the missing tongue brings to mind a woman’s pout rather than Mick’s.
Local feminist Roda Armbruster told the LA Times: “If the urinals sported a tongue, it would have been acceptable because the identification with the band and Jagger would have been unmistakable. Without it, it’s a woman’s mouth, not a man’s mouth.”
Because we all know that a mouth without a tongue would be that of a woman, right?
But really, what’s the big stinking deal? Perhaps a woman being peed on seems a little discriminatory, maybe even sexist. Ironically enough though, these urinals, called “Kisses”, were designed by Meike van Schijndel, a woman.
